The Early Years

For days Tat Wale Baba sat near the Ganges river wondering where he would find a retreat that was fully suitable for his purpose. He was intuitively, or perhaps divinely, guided to Manikut mountain. There he came upon an old, emaciated man with very long gata (hair) living in a cave. Tat Wale Baba approached the man and was invited to sit and talk. Their conversation lasted several hours. At the conclusion of their talk the old man left saying that his time was finished, and that he was going to the Himalayas to take mahasamadhi. He left the cave for Tat Wale Baba to occupy.

Die frühen Jahre

Tagelang saß Tat Wale Baba in der Nähe des Ganges-Flusses und fragte sich, wo er einen Ort finden würde, der seinen Zweck vollständig erfüllen würde. Er wurde intuitiv oder vielleicht göttlich zum Manikut-Berg geführt. Dort kam er zu einem alten Mann mit sehr langem Gata (Haar), der in einer Höhle lebt. Tat Wale Baba näherte sich dem Mann, der in einlud sich zu setzen und zu sprechen. Ihr Gespräch dauerte mehrere Stunden. Am Schluß ihres Gespräches ging der alte Mann und sagte, daß seine Zeit vorüber sei und daß er in den Himalaya gehen würde um Mahasamadhi anzunehmen. Er ließ Tat Wale Baba die Höhle besetzen.
